“I would first like to recognize my mother, Shagufta Naz, whose resilience and strength have shaped my life. She became a young widow and single-handedly raised four children while working full-time, ensuring we had a future filled with opportunities.
In South Asian society, where single mothers often face deep-rooted stigma and are looked down upon, she never wavered. With no support system, she provided us with a stable home and eventually moved us back to the UAE for a better life.
Her unwavering determination and sacrifices make her my greatest source of inspiration. I would never let go of any opportunity to talk about my true inspiration.”

For the last three years, I’ve been battling cancer and Thankfully, I’m surrounded by incredible strength. My mother, Meharbanu Mulla who is a stage 3 cancer survivor. My aunt, Saleema Mulla, continues her five-year battle with cancer and still ongoing, a true inspiration. And my former manager, Bhawana Chawla, another survivor who has always provided unwavering motivation and support at my workplace. These women are my rocks.

“For Women who inspire me – I want to take this moment to first acknowledge myself.
I am an inspiration to myself. I have had a lot of opportunities in life but I have also had my share of setbacks and failures. Yet, I have not allowed my failures to define me, demotivate me or change my perspective on things and life in general.
I inspire myself to do better and to be a better person and to accept me for me.”
