This 3 year applied Doctorate degree in management and leadership research with a focus in organizational management and leadership will help you gain the skills and knowledge to research and tackle some of today’s most critical management issues.     EARLY EXIT AWARD

    Successful students of stage 1 will be awarded MPhil-Management by Universidad Catolica De Murcia, Spain, if the student decides to exit without completing the final research thesis.

    DURATION

    Though the term for research is two years the learner can extend it for 1 more year. An ambitious student can even complete the research in one year also, based on their schedule.

    Doctorate in Management: The program will be a three-year applied Doctorate in management and leadership research focusing on organisational management and leadership.

    The program will be a three-year applied Doctorate in management and leadership research focusing on organisational management and leadership. The program will offer an additional exit award, Master of Philosophy in Applied Business Leadership and Management, to students who finish 1-year coursework and publish a scoping or systematic review on applied leadership and management topic, which is optional and can be claimed on payment as a researcher.

    Michael Akerib has divided his professional life between industry, executive education, and academia. He has always been interested in change – sociological, and technological, and the blending of the two and its impact on determining the future. His professional experience was acquired in corporate leaders in their field (Dow Chemical, Merrill Lynch, COMILOG) in Africa, France, and Switzerland. He was the CEO of a South American gold and diamond mining corporation in the early 1990s. As a consultant, he devised strategies for SMEs in areas as different as metals and luxury products. Since 1991 he has been involved in executive education and academia in over 20 countries. He has created curricula, and franchised educational programs he created, was dean, managing director of business schools, and rector.     Dr. Vivek has extensive experience managing multicultural, high-achieving teams in higher education domains related to the Middle East, the UK, and the US in terms of strategy, operations, and delivery. He is the recipient of the prestigious Medici Enterprise Award for commercialisation of research (UK) and various GCC leadership and organization awards. He holds a PhD in Business Management (UK) and an MSc in International Business (UK), a Doctorate in Management (Spain), an M.Phil in Applied Leadership (Spain) and is certified in Block Chain from UCLA (US), education design from UCL (UK), Project Management from CMI (UK) and blended learning from UNSW (Australia).

    He started his career as an operations consultant and has worked in product development and education design. Dr. Vivek has published and presented papers in international journals and conferences across the globe on topics such as Sustainability, Expatriate Performance and Synchronous online learning. With more than fifteen years of experience in both academia and consulting, he has worked closely with several highly regarded American and British universities on international alliances and digital implementation of higher education programs. Dr. Vivek has consulted for the UK Government (Arts Council, England) and held faculty and researcher positions at Sheffield Hallam University, UK and Leeds Business School, UK. Dr.Vivek has consulted and trained for public institutions and MNCs, including the ICC Cricket Council headquarters, PWC Middle East, Petrofac, Sharjah Co-op and WJ Groundwater.

    Admissions Requirements

    • Candidates must have an MBA or Master's degree or equivalent from recognized institutions.
    • Candidates must have at least three years of work experience at the managerial level.
    • Candidates must have a thorough command of written and spoken English.
    • English level: 6.0 IELTS or equivalent

    *Degrees offered by UCAM are university’s accredited own awards and should not be misconstrued as nationally accredited awards in spain.

      FAQs

      DM is applicable on the management side of progression whereas DBA is applicable in Business Administration. Also, DM has wider scope of applicability in both management as well as academic side of career progression.

      Yes, it can be completed in 2 years, provided the research project is submitted within 2 years.

      You will be receiving faculty assistance by default and additional assistance by the course leader, course administrator, 2 supervisors (primary & secondary) and student engagement officer.

      There will be classes weekly once (Saturday) for 3 hrs from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (UAE time).

      All the sessions will be recorded so that you can catch up with missed out Live sessions.

      The faculty are from different nationalities and are authorized by the university to deliver the classes. The research guide will be one of the faculty in charge of DM.

      As a Master’s degree is mandatory to proceed to DM, you can first do M. Phil program for 1-year with the minimum fee of USD 6550 and then can do the rest 2 years of the DM program with fee of USD 9750.

      The DM program can be completed in a maximum timeline of 4 yrs.

      There will be two mandatory contact sessions with the research guide/faculty once in two months. You can also request for unlimited contact sessions for any assistance required

      • Extending research period beyond 2 years: USD 1000.00 per year (Max 4 Yrs.)
      • Module assessment submission extension charge: USD 100.00 (Max 14 days from original date)
      • Module retake charges (Year -1): USD 500.00
      • Change of research schedule and completion: USD 500.00 (If within 2 years period)
      • Module Deferral Fee: USD 250.00
      • Temporary withdrawal from the program: USD 500.00 (Current year fee to be settled in complete)
      • Resumption charges: USD 500.00 + Re-registration fee applicable at the time of resumption
