International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE)

*Subject to validation from PMU

The International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE) is a 6-month program designed to equip educators with the theoretical foundations for international teaching. The program offers a robust academic framework that develops reflective, competent, and professionally aware educators. It aligns with the UK's international education strategy and builds on world-renowned UK teacher training standards.

With a strong emphasis on educational theory, the program offers tailored pathways for primary and secondary educators. It is designed to develop the core competencies necessary for enhancing teaching and learning in diverse international environments. Students are encouraged to gain practical experience through independent initiatives that complement and enhance their academic learning.

In the iPGCE program, learners can choose either the ‘Primary’ or the ‘Secondary’ pathway. Learners studying on both pathways receive the same lecture content which they explore through tailored discussions in guided case study groups. The assignments that the learner does should then be set in the context of primary or secondary schooling to qualify for the respective pathway.
